- Shot size: this includes extreme close-ups, close-ups, medium shots, long shots and extreme long shots.
- Match on action: this is where two shots from different angles are brought on.
- Shot Reverse/Shot: where two shots are brought together from different angles, e.g when two people engage in dialogue.
- Match cut: where two objects of the same size are brought together, e.g through a graphic match.
- Cross Cutting: editing shots in different locations together.
- Eyeline Match: where the camera angle is from the eye line of a character.
